FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
America II welcomes President George W. Bush
St. Petersburg, Fla. Wednesday, March 6 - Mike Galinski, chief executive and owner of America
II Corp., a sister company of A1 Teletronics, Inc., announced today that it will welcome
President George W. Bush to its corporate campus Friday, March 8. Florida Governor Jeb Bush and St.
Petersburg Mayor Rick Baker will also be in attendance.
"It is an honor on behalf of myself, the America II family, and the entire Tampa Bay area to receive
this recognition from President Bush, Governor Bush, and Mayor Baker. Our surrounding community has
supported America II tremendously over the years, and it has always been our position to give back as
much as we can by acting as a good corporate citizen. We appreciate immensely the fact that America II's
efforts are now going to be recognized not only in our surrounding community, but also on state and national
levels," commented Galinski.
The America II family contributes to its community by coordinating local volunteer and team-building
activities as well as providing stable employment, and even growth, amidst recent economic conditions.
This week alone, America II has added 29 employees (including nine new hires at A1) to its local
headcount of 500 through two training classes designed to equip new hires with pertinent professional
skills and industry knowledge. Later this month, the company will complete construction on an 80,000-square
foot warehousing facility, expanding its existing 350,000-square foot corporate campus and creating more jobs.
May 4 marks America II's eleventh year as the title sponsor of SportsFest, a series of
friendly, outdoor competitions that will bring as many as 5,000 Tampa Bay area employees
together in the name of corporate and community teambuilding. Year round, America II
encourages employees to participate in a mentoring program engineered by its own vice
president of sales, Chuck Magee, and director of purchasing, Maria Magee, to benefit the
children of Pinellas County's Personal Enrichment through Mental Health Services (PEMHS)
organization. Volunteer Action Day, an employee incentive program implemented by America II's
sister company Genesis Electronics Manufacturing, Inc., calls for the company to coordinate
quarterly volunteer efforts and reimburse employees for their participation. This initiative
was launched March 2 as employees volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County.
