FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
New manager, customer demand escalate A1's excess purchasing efforts
SEPTEMBER 4, 2002 St. Petersburg, Fla. - A1 Teletronics is escalating its excess inventory purchasing capabilities to expand its value-added offerings to customers. John Mull, former Director of Purchasing for Bobby Allison Wireless, Inc., will cultivate the program as A1's recently named Excess Purchasing Manager.
Many telecom managers are faced with handling the over-supply of telecom inventory that is on the rise for an assortment of reasons - downsizing, to specify one. End users need an outlet for both out-of-service and new surplus, which warrants A1's increased investment, development, and commitment to this value-added program.
Mull's commission to cultivate the program involves coordinating A1's excess inventory buys and recruiting the personnel who will continue to build A1's excess purchasing team. To this end, Mull will call on his purchasing and inventory management experience with Bobby Allison Wireless, where he oversaw warehouse and fulfillment functions for over 100 locations and an internal inventory team. Prior to this, Mull gained similar experience in purchasing positions with JC Penney, Jumbo Sports, and The Home Shopping Network.
