A1 Teletronics adds Toshiba to list of manufacturers

St. Petersburg, Fla. September 5, 2000 - A1 Teletronics, the independent distributor that opened for business in 1994 with just one product line, today welcomes Toshiba to its list of manufacturers. "Our philosophy has always been to know the market and the product in order to provide the best customer service in the industry," according to A1 General Manager Don Sturiano. "Adding Toshiba as a manufacturer is just our way of responding to a recent trend we identified in the market," reports Sturiano, who describes his company's purchasing team as a group of product specialists who watch "every move the market makes to keep [A1's] offering current and priced competitively. When our team noticed a rise in customer demand for Toshiba, we did what we had to do to make sure we were there for our customers," Sturiano explained.

The process of adding Toshiba as a manufacturer to A1's standard Nortel® and Lucent offerings began with allocating additional capital to purchase and stock three types of Toshiba charcoal phones, the DKT2010S, DKT2010SD, and DKT2020SD. While the company is currently stocking these lines only, A1 representatives are able to quote customers on any new and refurbished Toshiba products. Sturiano envisions a strong showing: "A1 is a leader in the distribution of Nortel® and Lucent. With our proven business model, marketing expertise, financial purchasing power, and strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction, we will become the dominant force in the Toshiba market as well," he affirms.
